On United Nations Day, students from classes 8 to 10 at both Medical Road Branch and Doharra Branch of Green Crescent Public School organized a dynamic and educational event to simulate a UN meeting. This simulation provided an insight into how representatives from countries worldwide come together to discuss pressing issues related to climate change and peace. The event served as an excellent opportunity for students to understand the importance of international collaboration in addressing global challenges. Out of the 193 members of the UN, students chose 11 countries to represent. Each "delegation" voiced the concerns and challenges their nation faces and sought support from fellow members to work towards practical solutions. The event was hosted by the students of class 10th, Ali at Medical Road Branch and Yusuf Mazhar at Doharra Branch , who skillfully guided the proceedings, making sure each part of the program flowed smoothly. The session began with all representatives standing for a one-minute silent prayer, reflecting on the importance of peace and unity. In addition to country representations, students introduced six key UN bodies, explaining their unique roles and contributions to international stability. Each representative explained the structure, purpose, and importance of their respective UN body, highlighting the efforts of specialized agencies and their impact on global issues. Additionally, representatives elaborated on various specialized UN agencies, underscoring their significance in addressing global issues. As UN Meeting is concluded by its president, Mrs. Asna Anwar and Miss Sana Habib concluded the event at Medical Road Branch and Doharra Branch respectively, applauding the students and teachers for their dedication in organizing such an informative session. A vote of thanks was extended to everyone involved, marking the end of a successful UN Day celebration that deepened the students' appreciation for the values of unity and global cooperation.
