As part of the Children's Day celebration week from 4th to 10th November, Green Crescent Public School, Aligarh hosted a Dental Health Checkup and Awareness Camp in collaboration with the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry from Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College & Hospital, AMU, Aligarh. This camp was conducted to promote the importance of dental hygiene and to encourage healthy oral habits among young students. A dedicated team, led by Dr. Saima Yunus Khan, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, visited the school to spread awareness among the children from class 1st to 5th on the significance of oral health. Each child received a thorough dental check-up, with any issues recorded in their diaries for parents' reference. Additionally, the students were given practical tips on maintaining good oral hygiene, including the correct way to brush and floss their teeth. The camp also included an interactive question-and-answer session for each class, where students were quizzed on dental health topics. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with small gifts, adding an element of excitement to the learning experience. The dental camp was well-received by both students and teachers, as it not only provided valuable insights into dental care but also made students more aware of their health and hygiene practices. The event was a great success, contributing positively to the Children's Day celebration week at Green Crescent Public School, Aligarh.
